John and I took a trip together to Acapulco when we worked for American Airlines. I sat with John (lucky for him) at the last Interline party I went to when I worked at American. I won an all point pass on Alaska Airlines for two, and was not able to use it, so I gave my ticket to John to pick up. He said, are you sure as he was running up to get the pass. Alaska Air flew

Alaska Air flew everywhere in the world, and this made John the happiest “camper” ever.

To John’s family, may your hearts be filled with wonderful memories of joyful times together as you celebrate a life well lived.

John was like an uncle to me and to my children. I will always remember him as the man with a big heart and kind soul. He never forgot a birthday, holiday, special occasion. My family and I have been blessed to have shared so many wonderful years and memories with him. He will be greatly missed, but never forgotten. Our sincerest condolences go out to the Dolans and his family!

With much sympathy I send my condolences to John's family. I worked with John at Verizon for a number of years. We would speak about his travels to see the Hot Air Ballons that he loved so much. We also spoke about Nascar racing. I would admire John for his fearless compassion to " do what he wanted" always. He had a zest for life. His kindness was remarkable Within the last few years he would keep the Verizon folks

My Sincere Sympathy to the Smith and Dolan Families on the passing of John. We had been friends since a very young age and always kept in contact. I will always remember him of being a sincere and loving human being. I will miss him a lot and at the same time i can't believe that he has passed away. My Prayers are with all of you at this sad time.

John was a coworker at Verizon who became a friend and he continued to keep in touch after his retirement. He would drop a call or email every now and then to see how I was doing. I always loved the email jokes he would send to give you a laugh. He loved seeing the band Beatle Juice and enjoyed having a night out with friends. He was always there for everyone who knew him. I'll remember the Red Sox

I knew something was up when the emails stopped , the last one I received was September 6th.Well I'm happy to know he is no longer suffering but sad to lose a friend. But being a catholic like John was, I know he is at his reward and know he is still everybody's friend from above. Like the Beatle Song goes "and in the end the love you take is equal to the love you make". John beacuse of the friendship you showed so many people that line fits you.To the family of John I'm sorry about your loss, he was a goodman.Take care friend and God Bless

We will miss our reunions at NASCAR races, family celebrations and Boston visits. John will always be remembered not just as a friend, but as an "extended family member".

Dear Kathy, Bobby & Billy - will always remember all our wonderful family times at Spraycliffe and your house in Milton. I remember Christmas Eve when Santa's boots were heard on the roof one year... You all were always so supportive and caring to my grandmother and I loved your grandparents dearly. He was always there for our family during our recent sorrows too.
