Memories & Candles
My thoughts and prayers go out to Fred's immediate and extended family. May you all find comfort in the many happy memories he left in your hearts.
Fred was a mentor and colleague during two air evac assignments, first in Vietnam and then in Germany, at the 2nd AES. From our first meeting in May 1968 to our last phone conversation a couple years ago, Fred talked about his experiences as a firefighter.
May the memory of Fred and his stories live on in the hearts of all who new him.

Nice memories of the times at the fire house at Hanscom AFB, Fred had so many stories, sometimes we heard the same ones, but that is what me will miss.
A good firefighter, always talked to everyone, some tried to run away, but Fred always caught them.
Pleasure to know and work with him.

Fred you were a great friend. I will always remember how even during the times when you were most sick you were concerned about my father and asking for my mother. Our country is thankful for your courage and your friends are thankful for your kindness.

I will forever hold your friendship within my heart. I will miss your words of wisdom and encouragement while I bought my first home back in August. You were beyond helpful at putting my mind at ease that I was making the right decision. Amanda and I already miss the phone calls. We will miss going to dinner, going for coffee and food shopping for you and for us. I will remember you forever Fred! Rest in Peace!! Marjorie MacLean
